The Order of Malta has settled in Chad since 1993, 23 years old and has two centers in Amtoukoui and Walia. Both located in N’Djamena, one in the city center and the other on the outskirts, these centers offer consultations to the poorest people. Each center has its own medical analysis laboratory to respond to the lack of equipment in neighboring health structures. The two centers also provide ophthalmological consultations and prescribe corrective glasses. As part of the government's vaccination plan, the two structures also send a medical team to meet isolated people.
