Hôpital Régional de Nzerekoré was built in 1956 and considered the third largest health facility in the country. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) supports the N'Zérékoré Regional Hospital with the donation of a generator set, in order to improve patient care. In 2014, the hospital provided nearly 15,000 consultations in difficult conditions, including about 5,000 hospitalizations and 800 caesarean sections.
