Grace Children’s Hospital, founded in 1967, is recognized as Haiti’s leading medical facility dedicated to the treatment of children with tuberculosis (TB). Each year, the hospital receives thousands of children who are suffering from TB, HIV, and other diseases. Located in one of the poorest sections of Haiti's capital, Grace Children's Hospital has provided continuous medical care and has annually served thousands of children and families over the past 40 years. The institution provides services in both a 70-bed inpatient pediatric unit and in their large outpatient department with clinics in general pediatrics, adult medicine, reproductive health, HIV and tuberculosis care, and eye care. Its larger organization International Child Care (ICC) is well-known for its excellent work and long history in the control of tuberculosis in most of the states or departments of Haiti. In addition to direct patient care, the hospital has served as a training center for young Haitian medical and nursing students who regularly learn and work in the inpatient pediatric unit and the large outpatient department.
