Mlambe Hospital is a mission hospital which was built in 1963 by Daughters of Wisdom Sisters (Catholic Nuns). It started as a Clinic, with 36 beds. As time passed, it grew into a hospital with a bed capacity of 265. The Hospital has the following sections, Operating Theatre, Maternity, Gynecology, Mother and Child Health, Dental, Highly Dependent Unit, male and female medical wards, male and female TB ward, Paedriatric ward and surgical ward, Pharmacy, Radiology, Physiotherapy, Laundry, and Mortuary. The hospital serves 70 surrounding villages with a population of One hundred and twelve thousand (112,000) people.
