Nearly seven decades ago, Chitwan district was covered with dense forests and bushes. It was a suitable habitat for wild animals including tigers, bears, elephants, rhinos, venomous snakes, dragons and mosquitoes. Due to the heat and fear of various diseases, most of the plains were flat but human settlement was very low in Chitwan. Migration from outlying districts was also very low. The Raptidun Valley Development Committee formed by the then government under the chairmanship of Mr. Krishnavam Malla with the objective of making the Chitwan Valley, which occupies most of the plain and fertile land, suitable for human settlement by developing it. This plan After the distribution of flat and fertile land started by clearing the forests and bushes to make it suitable for human settlement, people started coming from other districts. With the deforestation and increase in human settlements, the incidence of various diseases like malaria has also started to decrease. The college was founded in 1993 to improve medical education, promotion of health and training Para-Medical staff in Nepal.
