The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam branch, from Ilala Municipality (Dar es Salaam Region), is part of the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS). It is a private, teaching, zone-level hospital, having 170 beds and a team of 32 medical doctors that provide a high level of specialized care to the people living in the Eastern Zone. The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam Branch, is the only hospital in Tanzania to receive the prestigious gold standard quality re-accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI) in 2019.
