Hôpital de Zone de Ouidah (HZO) is a government owned hospital situated in Ouidah, Atlantique Department. Also called Ouidah Kpomassè Tori-Bossito Area Hospital, the facility serves 3 municipalities (Ouidah, Kpomassè, Tori-Bossito), 25 Districts and 211 Villages. It offers general medical care, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, medical imaging, biomedical analysis, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, dentistry, emergency and pharmacy services. Created in 2003, the HZO is the first reference level center for health training in the Ouidah-Kpomassè-Torri-Bossito area composed of 32 public health centers and 54 private health centers. The HZO has a capacity of 81 beds, including 23 maternity hospitalization beds. It employs 135 agents, including three gynecologists/obstetricians, eight state midwives, and three maternity nursing assistants, five anesthesiologists, and three instrument nurses for the operating room.
