The General Hospital of Mpanda, located in the province of Bubanza (west of the country) 23 km from Bujumbura was inaugurated on Tuesday by Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic People's Republic of China in Burundi whose government financed the construction works. Hôpital Général de Mpanda was inaugurated in 2011 and is a remedy for the glaring lack of health infrastructure in the Bubanza area. Republic of China also provided the project with equipment, personnel needs and funds. All kinds of medical benefits are offered here, including emergencies.
