The Albert ROYER Children's Hospital was born from a memorandum of understanding signed on February 18, 1977, between Senegal and Canada. Center Hospitalier National d´Enfants Albert Royer, which is the only public health establishment (EPS) of reference level 3 exclusively pediatric in the Dakar region. It is part of the Central Health District. It has 180 hospital beds and offers outpatient and hospitalization services. On average, 5,000 children are hospitalized there per year and 70,000 seen in outpatient clinics.
