The Protestant hospital in Mbouo is a work of Christian witness of the Evangelical Church of Cameroon created in 1928 by French missionaries. Its mission is to improve the health conditions of populations and fight epidemic diseases in the region given the difficulties they encountered in getting to neighboring hospitals. The main activity of the Protestant hospital in Mbouo is the administration of health care in the fields of trauma, gynecology, surgery, intensive care, laboratory and medical analysis, ortho-rhino-laryngology, ophthalmology, stomatology, physiotherapy, medical imaging and morgue. The services of this hospital are offered with high-performance equipment and qualified and dedicated staff composed of a medical biologist, traumatologist, surgeon, ortho-rhino-laryngology, ophthalmologist, dentist, general practitioners, qualified nurses. The Hospital currently has many medical disciplines: general medicine, maternity, surgery, resuscitation, orthopedics, ophthalmology, odontology, imaging services and laboratory. The medical team is made up of five doctors, including four general practitioners and a gynecologist who also act as emergency physicians and resuscitators, in addition to the paramedical staff.
