The Baptist Hospital of Ferkessedougou is a denominational institution. It was Doctor Charles Beal, an American missionary, who founded the first medical work of the Baptist Mission in Ferké in 1952. The French (colonial) administration of Korhogo grants a concession of approximately 9 hectares for the establishment of a medical-surgical activity. The hospital complex now has 13 single storey buildings, 6 of which are dedicated to the hospitalization of patients.
