Initially, the Republic Cardiology Research Institute was part of the Tashkent State Medical Institute, and in 1978 it was transformed into an independent institute. Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology is the main cardiological hospital of Uzbekistan. The centre consists of 13 cardiological departments with two cathlabs, an EP lab and cardiothoracic operation room. The center is always open for foreign partners.
