The Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a private level 5 hospital that was founded in 2001 specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology services though it has grown to provide medical services that are typically found in large hospitals. The hospital consists of the main branch located in Hurlingham, Nairobi along with a network of 8 other branches located within and outside Nairobi. The hospital also runs a not-for-profit charitable trust called the Gender Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC) that provides treatment and psychosocial support to survivors of gender-based violence.
