With total excitement, the inhabitants of Corn Island, in the South Caribbean, inaugurated Ethel Kandler Elementary Hospital. The new hospital has a capacity of 30 beds, has surgery rooms, laboratories, incubator for newborns, ultrasound room, x-rays, multipurpose hyperbaric chamber, among other equipment. The people celebrated with love, partying and joy, one more triumph with the Christian, Socialist and Solidarity Government. "We celebrate 38/19 today and thanks to this Revolution we move forward, with a double effort we have to take care of this hospital," said Corn Island Mayor Cleveland Webster. The Ethel Kandler Primary Hospital, located on Corn Island, has a new decompression chamber with which it will provide care to divers who suffer decompression syndrome during their tasks. Luis Josep, deputy director of the hospital, explained that the new device subjects the diver to the pressure he was under during his immersion.
