Before 1975, this was a private nursing home with a 3-storey building, built in 1967. After 1975, it was taken over and renamed as Hospital No. 1 of Da Nang City in Quang Nam Province, Da Nang. In 1997 Da Nang city was separated and became a city directly under the central government.
