Hospital de Santa Bárbara is a faith and legacy based private hospital providing emergency and multi-specialty medical services, located within the city of Sucre, Bolivia. The hospital was first established in 1554 by the philanthropist Bartolomé Hernández to serve the poor. The hospital is associated with the Catholic Church and has been maintained by the aid of donations throughout the years. Since 1899, the hospital has been under the charge of the Siervas de María.
