The National Research Center for Radiation Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (NSCRM) is the main institution in Ukraine for medical problems of the Chernobyl disaster, radiation medicine, radiobiology and radiation hygiene, radiation epidemiology. It is a center that cooperates with the WHO in the network of medical preparedness and assistance in radiation accidents. NSCRM has significant scientific, personnel and logistical potential. The NSCRM includes three institutes: the Institute of Radiation Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Institute of Experimental Radiology, and the Institute of Clinical Radiology; as well as a clinic.
