Chitungwiza Central Hospital is a government institution located in Chitungwiza town, which is about 30 kilometers southeast of Harare city. The hospital was opened in 1984 as a provincial hospital. The hospital was officially opened by the then-Prime Minister R.G. Mugabe on November 6, 1986. Chitungwiza hospital was upgraded to a central hospital in September 2005. It now offers a tertiary level of healthcare delivery services. The hospital has 500 beds.
