Kanti Children's Hospital

Kanti Children's Hospital is a pediatric hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. The hospital is administered and regulated by the Kanti Children's Hospital Development Board, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health, Government of Nepal. In 1963 AD Kanti Children's Hospital (KCH) was built up as an overall Hospital with the limit of 50 beds. At that point in 1970 AD, it was changed over to a Children's Hospital with the limit of 150 beds. The Government of japan started its inclusion in KCH improvement in 1973 AD when two Volunteers through japan abroad Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), a birthing assistant and a medical attendant were dispatched to the clinic. From that point forward around 30 volunteers have been set at KCH. Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital & Research Centre Ltd.

Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre (GMC) is a health education institution located in Kaski district, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It deals as national priority industry for medical education and health service. The project is founded on its own land and is purely owned by the Nepalese people. The college owns about 204 ropanis of land which satisfies the mandatory requisites of Tribhuwan University that has affiliated the college and professional councils. The arrangement of infrastructures is made in compliance with the “Guidelines and Infrastructure Directions for Establishment and Operation of Private and Non-Government Health Institutions”, published by Ministry of Health and Population, Government of Nepal. The college has been providing scholarship to the 10% of total student intake in a year. The students getting scholarship are nominated by Nepal Government based on the merit in the entrance examination. The college has 550 bed capacity and is located at Prithivi Chowk of Pokhara Metropolitan City. Additional 200 bed will be added within this year. The college has activity of clinical and medical facilities, thus providing excellent health care amenities. In near future, Gandaki Medical College will also have 400 bedded multi-specialty hospital at Ritthepani, which is about nine kilometers from Pokhara city. GMC aims to be a Centre of excellence in health education and service. Currently, more than 600 Students are studying at this College. This includes MBBS, BDS, BSc MIT, BMLT, BSc. Nursing, BN, BPH and BPharma. About 40 students are pursuing PG (Post Graduate) in different specialties.

Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH)

According to the objectives of IOM, to facilitate the education, research and health care, T. U. Teaching Hospital was established in 1983 with the generous support of Japanese Government. . It was graciously inaugurated by His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in February, 1986. T. U. Teaching Hospital is an integral part of the Institute of Medicine of Trbhuvan University. It performs two distinct functions. As a teaching hospital, it provides practical field for the academic training programs (basic, graduate and postgraduate) of the Institute and, as a national hospital, renders medical care and services to those who need them. Besides, it conducts medical research projects and provids a major impetus to Biomedical and Health Sciences Research in Nepal. The establishment of the Teaching Hospital was a landmark in the evolution of medical education in Nepal. Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital is the first Hospital and a landmark in the evolution of medical education in Nepal, which was established in 1983AD. Being the integral part of Tribhuvan University, this hospital has been working on education, research and medical treatment services. It has been a practical place and platform for the medical students to learn and conduct medical research projects and on the other hand as a hospital it renders best and affordable healthcare facilities to the people of Nepal.
