IBMCH is a private medical college hospital of Islami Bank Foundation (IBF). This hospital departments include preclinical (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology), paraclinical (pathology, microbiology, forensic medicine, community medicine), clinical medicine (general medicine, psychiatry, sexual-skin-and-venereal diseases), pediatrics, surgery (general surgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatric surgery), ophthalmology, ENT, anesthesiology and diagnostic (clinical laboratory, radiology and imaging). It has a 250-bed general hospital and an integrated emergency department. Seventy-five students with pre-medical A-level education are admitted each year through open competitive examination. Students are awarded undergraduate M.B.B.S degrees after five years' study in college and hospital and three professional examinations under the University of Rajshahi. Then they do a one-year full residency in the hospital to get registration for practicing medicine.
