Mater Private Hospital Townsville Hyde Park Campus

Mater Health Services North Queensland Ltd. (MHSNQ) operates two fully accredited private hospitals – Mater Hospital Pimlico was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1945, and Mater Women’s & Children’s Hospital Hyde Park was purchased in 2007. The Hyde Park Hospital was purchased by MHSNQ to provide a private women’s and children’s hospital service to Townsville. The hospital has a capacity of 34 beds, incorporating four operating theaters, a day surgery unit and such specialty areas as obstetrics, pediatrics and gynecology.
