The Gyneco-Obstetrics and Pediatric Hospital of Yaounde abbreviated as HGOPY, is one of the fruits of Sino-Cameroonian cooperation. It is the will of the Cameroonian and Chinese governments to significantly improve the system of care delivery for women, mothers, and children in Cameroon. The project to create the HGOPY was born during President Paul Biya's visit to China in October 1993. Built on an area of 9,448 m2, with an initial capacity of 240 beds, this result of China-Cameroon cooperation cost 5 billion CFA francs. [email protected]
