Eswatini has only one psychiatric hospital and one psychiatrist serving the mental health needs of the entire 1.1 million population. The NPRH had a staff complement of 48 registered nurses (including mental health nurses), 13 nursing assistants, 12 nurse managers, and one psychiatrist, among other staff cadres. Services provided at the NPRH include general mental health consultation in the out-patient department (OPD), inpatient psychiatric care, counseling, and psychotherapy, among others.
