Provides underserved areas in Haiti with access to quality medical care.
FHHH primary philanthropic focus is providing free healthcare to the poorest and underserved areas in Haiti, however our mission is both medical and moral as such FHHH has established programs to support and develop a population in need. FHHH’s programs include but not limited to:
-Provision of primary care
-A maternal and infant health initiative
-Vitamin A and deworming program
-Support of local orphanages and schools
-Community outreach in the form of food, clothes, and toiletries distribution
FHHH has three fully staffed and functioning clinics with well stocked pharmacies in Carries, Vignier and Ile a Vaches which provide free medical care 7 days a week. Our clinics offer primary care, as well as maternity services (pre and postnatal care vaginal deliveries, and family planning). We have fully stocked pharmacies, we offer laboratory and X-Ray services. Recurring visits by our US based staff and medical volunteers ensure access to specialized and continuous care. (i.e. dentists, ophthalmologist, cardiologist, dermatologist).
Join us on a medical trip. All disciplines are needed and welcome. You are bound to have a collegial, educational, and rewarding experience. Helping others is addictive; you will want to continue to help the people of Haiti and will certainly want to return. Volunteers are encouraged to continue their participation in patient care using telecommunication links to Haiti. Volunteers will be supported and assisted by FHHH members and local staff to facilitate and enhance the efficiency of delivery of care. We appreciate and welcome any contributions and do not set a limit to the length of your volunteering.
