Every year a dynamic team of Agape volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, physician assistants, pharmacists, educators and other support staff travel to the town of Anse-a-Galets in La Gonave, Haiti, to see patients who face tremendous medical and health challenges. Our all volunteer team, working in our permanent clinic, makes an impact providing direct medical care and disease prevention for adults and children, and prenatal care for pregnant women. We also provide vitamins, antibiotics and other medications, and see approximately 500-600 patients on each visit. We leave behind knowledge and resources that will empower the people of La Gonave. Our trips are seven days and all travel expenses are self-funded. Every dollar donated, goes directly to the La Gonave community.
In 2017, Agape established a permanent clinic in La Gonave, Haiti. Our new independent compound has two buildings, two covered outdoor spaces and a courtyard. One building houses our prenatal and hypertension clinic and the other has a conference room, dedicated classrooms, locked storage and work spaces for our Water With Blessings program and our Days for Girls Enterprise.
Agape is looking for volunteers willing to donate time with experience in the field below. If you think you’d be a good fit, contact us via the form on this page or by email.
