        The volunteers primary responsibility is to provide active support service to “Eejii Earth” NGO’s staff and partners in office administration and volunteer coordination. Volunuteer is responsible for management of a wide range of administrative duties including office management, day-to-day logistics, and all procurement management of both program and non-program items.

        “Eejii Earth” NGO is trying to build and develop Mongolia's first humanitarian both international and domestic volunteer “Eejii.org” system which was established in 2018. Our main goal is to build a high-quality palliative care and hospice center available for 50 patients. The EEJII center will provide treatment for cancer patients, take preventive measures towards citizens and educate about home care for those in need and the population residing in the rural areas.  

Responsibilities:

The primary roles and responsibilities of the Office Manager and Volunteer “Eejii Earth” NGO include: 

1. Volunteer Coordination:

• Support and Supervise “eejii.org” volunteers (coordinate “Eejii.org” volunteers, update “Eejii.org” volunteer hours; manage “Eejii.org” volunteer and skilled volunteer lists);
• Build and maintain a solid relationship with Volunteers recruited by “Eejii.org” by sending emails or making phone calls to request or provide updates.
• Match “Eejii.org” Volunteers with Volunteer requests from “Eejii.org” Partners.
• Monitor and evaluate the Volunteer  and Non Profit Organization relationship (via outcomes and review of satisfaction surveys with each partner, including “Eejii.org” Volunteers).
• Prepare quarterly reports on the Volunteer Program (i.e., list and number of matches, level of satisfaction of Volunteer).
• Organize international and domestic volunteering programs

     2. Office Management:

• Perform all necessary procedures for recruitment.
• Maintain all office documentation and third party contracts, agreements, etc.
• Document and/or update all administrative policies and procedures as necessary.
• Ensure appropriate level of compliance by all staff for adopting and following administrative policies and procedures.
• Assist  “Eejii Earth” NGO correspondence with government agencies, NGOs and other organizations.
• Participate in any other activities which may be required to fulfill  “Eejii Earth” NGOs objectives.

Qualifications - Required:

• Education: University Degree in office/business administration, social sciences or related field;

Requirements:

• Volunteer duration: 12 months
• Employment status: Part-time worker. You can work in Ulaanbaatar during your leisure time.
• Work hour per week: 32 hours at office Language: Native speaker. USA, UK, Australia, Canada and European Union countries are targeted zones.
• Age: In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date.
• Criminal Background check
• Other skills: You should also be physically fit, as volunteering overseas can be quite strenuous. If you have any medical/mental health conditions that may affect your participation overseas then these must be declared to us during your online application.
• Time commitment: Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the office,  and volunteering events 1-2 times a week  usually on weekends.

Experience /If you qualify below requirements is an advantage/:

• Minimum of two years of office management experience;
• Knowledge of and/or experience with volunteer coordination;
• Experience in working for and/or with NPO, development organization, NGO, civil society group, etc. is preferred;

Skills:

• Native English speaker or fluent in English ;
• Good communication skills (both written and oral) in English;
• Competent in Microsoft Office, Google's Apps and coding id an advantage;
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and determination to meet deadlines;
• Strong planning, problem solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
• Basic knowledge of community development and social work issues;

Free-time activities:

            Mongolia is one of the most remote countries in the world. Volunteering here is a chance to experience a completely different way of nomadic life. There are plenty of other activities that our volunteers can enjoy on their days off or in between working hours at the sanctuary such as sightseeing/shopping in Ulaanbaatar. If you have your own transport/public transport, you will also be able to arrange other activities at your own cost if you wish.

1. Our organization is based in Ulaanbaatar, the country’s capital. This city is an eclectic mix of modern and traditional.
2. Even when you’re in the city, you’re never far from the countryside. Just a quick trip can take you out to a nomad settlement, where you can meet nomadic families who live in traditional gers. We recommend going on a horse ride or trek to take in the beauty of the endless countryside horizons.
3. We include free cultural activities and programs. For example:  Lunar New Year , Naadam and a tour to the countryside.

Who Will I Be Working With?

You will work closely with the "Eejii Earth" NGO team, supporting organizations and volunteers.

Program fee:

Working as a volunteer abroad is great for volunteers on a budget. Although most programs will require a fee to be paid by the volunteers, this fee is mainly used to cover your accommodation and other related costs. It’s also used to support the organization.

• Accommodation provided at volunteer's dormitory
• Cost provided the planned short tours during the period
• Food and other expenses will be given equivalent Tugrik to $300 per month.
• Experienced and caring program leaders there to support you 24/7
• Regular workshops and volunteering events to help you internalize and reflect on your experience
• Support from Eejii Earth NGO whenever and wherever you need it

What's excluded: 

• International flights to and  from where your program begins and ends.
• Your travel visas and insurance
• Your personal items
