Large air-conditioned vans that can accommodate five doctors travel up to 250-300 km per day to reach the remote rural areas in the Odisha area of India. They are able to provide medical and dental care in small villages and also visit hundreds of schools to provide routine checkups and vaccinations for the underprivileged students. The MMDUs have the facilities to handle all dental needs as well as ambulatory care as needed.
