Volunteer As a Team Member
Join our team of volunteers and make a difference in the lives of others. We have volunteer opportunities available for all skill levels, from laypersons to medical professionals.
Partnering with local healthcare workers and churches in medically underserved countries, we provide free medical clinics and surgical care as an outreach of Christian love for our fellow man. Services are offered at local churches, schools or orphanages and medical care is provided by our team free of charge to all who come, without discrimination of race, religious affiliation, or social class.
Eastern Uganda
Our trips in Eastern Uganda are carried out in association with Kanginima Hospital a rural hospital near Mbale. Surgeries are performed in the hospital’s 4 operating theatres, and the clinical staff helps with our village outreach to the local area. We have completed many protected spring clean water projects in the region, working with the Lodoi Development Fund.
Western Uganda
Our trips to Western Uganda are carried out with the assistance of the Tooro Kingdom and the local governing council. Outreaches extend to far western Uganda to villages near the Semiliki River that is the border with Congo. Surgeries are performed at a health unit in the village of Kabuta just through the Rwenzori Mountains.
Our short-term medical missions typically last about 2 weeks. Services provided during the trips vary according to the overall team composition but are divided into two teams.
One team travels to rural village sites and offers free medical screening clinics, preventative care, and mosquito net distribution. This team at times assists in construction of water improvement projects.
A second team works out of a rural hospital, performing general and/or gynecologic surgeries that are otherwise unavailable to the local population. Cases are defined by the facility and team composition.
