Primeros Pasos offers hands-on volunteer placements year-round at its clinic in the rural Palajunoj Valley near Quetzaltenango. Volunteers commit a minimum of two weeks to join a multidisciplinary team delivering primary medical and dental care, nutrition counseling, laboratory services, pharmacy dispensing, and health education in both the standing clinic and mobile outreach to schools and villages. Ideal participants are medical doctors, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals, and advanced students with Spanish proficiency. All volunteers fundraise at least USD 300 to support operations.
