Opportunity provided by

Operation Restore Hope

Provides impoverished children in the Philippines with surgical services to treat cleft lip, cleft palate, and other birth defects.

Overview

Operation Restore Hope Australia (ORHA) has been carrying out surgical missions for less fortunate children with cleft lip and palate in the Philippines since it held its first mission in Cebu in 1994. Since then, ORHA has treated thousands of children with cleft lip and palate both in Cebu and Manila as well as others who traveled from other provinces who would have not received care without charity surgery.

Our medical team is made up of many international volunteers, including surgeons, anesthetists and nurses. Despite their diverse backgrounds, the team is united in its central goal – to give children in the Philippines with facial deformities the future they deserve. Every year, team members look forward to the opportunity to share skills and experience, the fantastic comradeship of the Operation Restore Hope team and the warmth of the Filipino people.
