Mission Doctors Association

Provides life-saving medical care for the poor and training for local healthcare professionals around the world.

Since 1959, MDA has made it possible for Catholic Doctors and their families to follow the call of their faith to serve at the request of local Bishops. In support of the healthcare provided by the local church, Mission Doctors volunteer at clinics and hospitals run under the direction of the local bishop or religious orders. Every location is evaluated for need, security, housing, spiritual and professional support, and the ability to utilize the medical skills of a doctor. Additionally, all sites are visited annually by a member of the organization.
